Getting Noticed!
Feedspot, the “Internet’s Largest Human Curated Database of Bloggers and Podcasts” scoured the web for cue sports Blogs & News pages on the web and began ranking them according to these metrics:
Blog content quality
Post consistency
Age of the blog
Average number of shares on social sites for your blog posts
Traffic of your blog and more.
They decide to rank 30 of the best billiard blogs on the web. And guess what, OX Billiards made the list! Yes, this little young cue sports club has made a presence on the web. And we hoped it would be a positive presence. Feedspot picked us to be on the list. Okay, yes, we are in the bottom half, but not a bad showing for a young club, and look at who else is on the list. We aim to rise in the ranks in the future.
The list has some big hitters on it and the top three spots makes sense. AZ Billiards was the #1 spot- obviously. That is a great site with tons of info and threads. The second place spot is Pool & Billiard Magazine. Again, a no brainer. The third place rank belongs to APA. Alright, good ol’ APA has tons of info on the pool world. The rest of the list is comprised of organizations like WPA, WPBSA, as well as companies that sell pool and billiard products. So, those company’s main job is to write articles about their organization and what they sell or intent to sell.
OX, on the other hand is a cue sports club that happens to enjoy writing about what is going on in our world. Furthermore, our world happens to be both local and global. We have a large reach and we intend to use that reach to transform a bar game into a the professional precision sport that it is.
We have added a beat writer, Zak Ross who covers special matches and events at OX. If you are interested in writing for OX and would like your articles to be read by the billiard community, send mike@oxbilliards..com an email and let’s work together.
Thanks for reading and sharing our articles. It does help in several ways.
