WORLD WOMEN’S SNOOKER TARGETS US EXPANSION - At OX

World Women’s Snooker (WWS) is today excited to reveal plans for a landmark first tournament in the USA over the next 12 months.

The announcement follows a five-year growth period which has seen the WWS Tour expand its footprint significantly beyond the UK, with ranking tournaments held in mainland Europe, Asia and the Oceania region since 2016.

With eyes on a breakthrough stateside, extremely positive discussions have taken place with Mike Dominguez, owner of the Seattle-based OX Billiards recently launched in August 2021. A stunning new venue based in the historic 1912 Broadway and Pike building, Ox is home to four full-size XingPai snooker tables, as seen on the World Snooker Tour.

With the support of WWS, OX Billiards is committed to increasing female snooker participation in the USA and to helping provide opportunities for women and girls to become trailblazers on the women’s circuit and beyond. Earlier this year the WWS Tour was recognised as an official qualifying pathway to the professional World Snooker Tour – the very highest level of the sport. Read more here
